Renegades RFC are running the rugby coaching program at TN Tatem middle school for the 2016 season. The lads got off to a successful start to season, winning both their games on February 4th.
The TN Tatem boys did us all proud last week beating Saltus and Warwick and are now sitting top of the middle school league. We only had 9 boys for the first match and 8 for the second, so the results are all the sweeter considering playing 9 v 8 in the last game. Despite the injustice they still came on top, they have a great attitude and there are some really talented boys in the group.
We really want them to win this league and it would be brilliant to get more Renegades members down to the coaching/games…
Anyone interested in helping out with the coaching should contact Paul Kelly or Mike Williams.

There was a great turnout of 25 pupils (both girls and boys) for the first session at TN Tatem, most of which were getting their first taste of rugby. As can be expected the numbers have fallen from week 1 and we are now left with a strong core of 10-12 boys who commit to training and are improving week on week. In the first four sessions the boys have worked on passing, tackling, defensive lines and identifying space. Each training session ends in a full contact match and it's great to see the boys incorporate all the skills they have been developing into these training games. There are some very talented players in this young group and with the first games coming up on 4 February, the coaches and the players would really appreciate all your support in what should be a very successful season.
